LAFAYETTE NORTH EXPANSION IS UNDERWAY!
We are pleased to announce that we have begun the design phase of a much needed building expansion to our Berkeley facility. We will select an architect by the end of January and anticipate 6-8 weeks for drawing the plans.
At this time, we believe the Expansion will be about 26,000-30,000 sq. ft., with construction costs in the range of $2.7-$3 million. It will allow us to accommodate another 50-80 sheltered employees!
We've secured funding to cover the planning phase and now the push is on to get funding for the building phase. Now we are making every effort to get appropriations from our public funders so that we can keep forging ahead with our plans.

On October 19th six Lafayette employees got to go on a tour of Sam’s Club #8182 on Manchester. Their tour guides were Carol Feldmeier (left) and Julie Martin Ryan (not shown), both are Sam’s Club #8182 managers and very gracious hosts. Everyone enjoyed the tour which included a free pizza lunch where everyone got to decorate their own cupcakes. Thanks to Sam’s for this opportunity and for their continued support of Lafayette.
