Charlie Weaver celebrates 25 years of “Working with the best people in the world”!

Charlie Weaver, our Production Manager at Lafayette Industries celebrated 25 years of consecutive service with Lafayette Industries North/I.T.E. on May 19th—the first Lafayette Industries’ Staff who has achieved this remarkable milestone! Charlie has served adults with developmental disabilities for 32 years, having worked at the old Universal workshop before coming to I.T.E in 1986. Charlie received an engraved silver and gold watch as a thank you for his dedicated service, and Fred Wark, Board President, presented Charlie with a special gift on behalf of the Board of Directors---a limited edition Kasey Kahne autographed victory plaque (Charlie is a big NASCAR fan). On hand to witness the event were Charlie’s wife, mother and brother; several Board members; the Friends of I.T.E auxiliary; Lafayette Staff; and of course, the 135 dedicated workers of Lafayette Industries North.
Charlie thanked his wife, daughters, and family for all their support during the past 25 years, and thanked the Board for such an honor. Then Charlie had only one thing to say; “I have been truly fortunate to have been able to work all these years with the best people in the world!”
