Flow Wrapping

Also known as “form, fill, seal”  or “fin sealing” this type of packaging uses printed or clear roll stock poly film that forms around the material and is then sealed at both ends and  down the middle of the back (the “fin”).   It is often seen on candy bars or promotional material.  An advantage of this method of packaging is the use of flexible film materials such as polypropylene or polyethylene or a laminated combination of the two.  A liquid barrier package can be created with the right combination.     

Lafayette operates a high speed horizontal wrapper that can handle small or large packaging.   In line coding is also possible.   Lafayette can combine this with carton gluing, display assembly or other types of packaging.
